Welcome
Welcome, one and all, to a small collection of original poetry that God has blessed me with. The first poem featured on this Poetry Page is titled "Blind Child's Prayer". God blessed me with this poem 37 years ago. I have been told, and I personally feel that it speaks to everyone in a different way. I pray that it blesses you, as it has me.
The second poem is titled "Delivered". This one is my own personal testimony. Enough said.
There is but one blood that was shed at Calvary for my sins and yours. It belongs to Jesus. I call this poem "The Blood".
My prayer is that each and every visitor to my website will take the time to read and absorb each of these poems. I invite you to email me with your comments.
If you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior, may something in these poems lead you to Him, so you can live in Heaven throughout eternity.
Romans 10: 9-10 tells us 9)" That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved. 10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."(KJV)
Jesus is soon returning to claim his bride, the church. Don't wait until you see the Eastern sky split, or hear the trumpet sound to call on the only name whereby men can be saved. Jesus loved you and me enough to die on the cross so that we could have eternal life, by confessing Him as our Savior.
Is your name written in the Lamb's Book Of Life?

"Blind Child's Prayer"
"Dear God, I'm blind and helpless, and cannot see the way---- But I know for sure You love me, and keep me night and day.
I can't see to read Your Bible, Lord, It must be read to me----
But, I believe in every word
and I know You died for me.
The other kids all laugh at me,
when I go out to play-----
'He's different from the rest of us,'
I heard one small girl say.
But, God, I'm not complaining,
there are some things I can do.
Mommy says I'll make it,
if I put my faith in You.
Will my blindness last forever?
In Heaven, can I see?
Do You send special angels,
Lord, for little boys like me?" (pause)
The little boy then went to sleep.
Christ Jesus took his hand.
His blinded eyes were opened,
and he saw the Promised Land!

"Delivered"
I lived for the devil. I played his game. But I've been delivered, In Jesus' name!
When Satan tells me
all of his lies,
I just look upward
to the Eastern skies.
My Lord is returning
to claim His own.
He is now seated at the right hand
of God's throne.
Some day, I'll answer
for deeds I have done.
My record compared with Jesus,
God's Son.
I've been delivered.
I've been set free.
Jesus is building
a mansion for me.
He gave His life,
to save me from sin.
When my mansion's ready,
I'll be moving in.

"The Blood"
It's a red, rich, rare, and a royal blood. It's been through the fiery furnace, And it's been through the flood.
It was shed on Calvary,
for remission of sin.
Without this blood, my brother,
you will never enter in.
No other blood is like it.
None other can compare.
It's redeeming, it's refreshing,
It's red, it's rich. It's rare.
Since it comes from royalty,
it has heavenly D.N.A.
If you plan to go to Heaven,
this blood's the only way.
This blood belongs to Jesus.
He's God's only Son.
He shed every drop on Calvary,
and the victory was won.
Then when He ascended,
it rejoined the "Son Of Man",
It's coursing through His royal veins,
at the Father's right hand!
